just because i know you are wondering...

the gala apple was ok. honestly, the two that i consumed each tasted different so it is hard to say if i liked them or not. one tasted like a cross between a red and green apple, while the other almost had a peach taste to it. strange, i know. some parts of the apple were crispy, other parts were mushy. obviously, i am no good at picking out gala apples. any tips for future apple purchases? so sadly, i won't be climbing to any rooftops to loudly proclaim my love for them. sorry to disappoint all you gala apple lovers...

however, the quest does not stop there. based on your feedback i purchased one golden delicious apple and one fuji apple. i have not tasted them yet, but i will let you know if i find my new favorite apple any time soon. i thought the lady who checked me out at the store was going to have cardiac arrest when she saw me buying a fuji apple. she raved about them! i have never seen anyone get so excited about an apple in my life! i guess we will just have to see if she is right...

p.s. i have several things to post about...but just haven't had the time. life is chaos right now. but i promise an update soon!

i love that you have several things to post about but apples take presedence.

i love fuji apples by the way. but only when they're in season. that's the thing ... different apples taste better at different times of the year. lately i've been slicing up a red delicious, give it a few (a lot) of squirts of spray butter, sprinkle splenda and cinnamon then microwave to a minute and a half. such a yummy treat!!! anyway. good luck with your apples.
