I got tagged!

Oh happiness! I finally got tagged. I am kind of new at this {and was hoping I could just copy and paste} but I guess I just have to type all the questions again and fill in my own answers. So here goes my first tagging: A to Z

A: Attached or Single? Isn't it obvious? I am as single as you can get!

B: Best Friend? Too many to name, but I have always been extremely close to Amy

C: Cake or Pie? Not really a pie fan {unless it's pumpkin}, but I do love me some cake!

D: Day of Choice? Saturday fo' sho'

E: Essential Item? Can't live without mascara {can you say vein?}

F: Favorite Color? Do you even have to ask? PINK BABY!!!

G: Gummi Bears or Worms? Probably worms just because they look cooler {but not really a fan of either}

H: Hometown? Sandy, UT

I: Indulgence(s)? As posted earlier, I really love cookies. But these days it's got to be Turtle Cheesecake

J: January or July? In AZ, definitely January

K: Kids? Not really a fan {kidding!}

L: Life is incomplete without? Family and friends!!!

M: Marriage Date? I am wondering that myself...

N: Number of Siblings? 2 older {and meaner} brothers

O: Oranges or Apples? Oranges. Not loving apples unless dipped in caramel {hence the weight problem}

P: Phobias or Fears? Yep, I am a proud member of the Emetophobia Society {those who fear all things vomit}...don't ask

Q: Quote(s)? Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.

R: Reason to Smile? See quote above...

S: Season? Do seasons really exist? I thought there was only summer and not quite summer. I REALLY love what Arizonans call winter though... In any other state I would say spring.

T: Tag Six? Joey, Sarah, Nikki, Natalie, Charlene, Emily

U: Unknown Fact About Me? I hope to one day create my own line of designer slinkies

V: Veggies or Fruit? These days I can only eat veggies, so I will say I prefer fruit {how do you like that Dr. Fountis?}

W: Worst Habit? I bite my fingernails

X: X-rays or Ultrasounds? Probably X-rays because they are virtually painless

Y: Your Favorite Food? Mmmm...french toast! How I miss thee...

Z: Zodiac? Gemini

So there you have it. My first tagging session. And I must admit it was pretty fun! Oh, and just for the record: I AM FINALLY BACK ON THE WEIGHT LOSS WAGON {thanks to pictures of myself in my previous post}

{Happy Tagging}

Wii-kend

What a fun weekend I had. It's not very often that I have something to do on both Friday and Saturday nights (sad, huh?). So here is the low down:

Friday night my girls and I went latin dancing. A friend of mine at work invited me to go, so I invited my friends to join me. It was just like any other church dance, where the girls just stand next to the wall and then the guys do the same. Not much dancing going on... But, there were a lot of Latinos there, so I knew it would not be too long before one of us got asked to dance (if you've ever been to a dance with latinos, you will understand...they like those American girls). I got approached by a short little guy wearing a white cowboy hat, cowboy boots and a backpack. He was a little scary, but I accepted his invitation. Let me just tell you, I thought all latinos could dance, but this guy was definitely the exception to the rule! After a few minutes of me just standing there laughing while he danced around me, he took me back to my seat. Later on at the dance he approached me while I was at the drinking fountain and told me how beautiful I was and asked me to be his girlfriend. NO THANKS! To make a long story short, my friend that we went to the dance with has this guy friend who I think is quite attractive. Anywho, we have been intending to go out on a date for quite a while now, but it never seems to work out. He showed up at the dance and we danced a few songs together. Good times...

Then Saturday night was a singles activity for my stake and a few other stakes. We had a bbq at a park, followed by a fun filled evening of volleyball and other games. Not so much my favorite activity. As you notice in my pictures below, we kind of had to make our own fun at this activity by playing on the swing set with the smaller children...

Following the singles activity, Ashlie had this brilliant idea to be SPONTANEOUS. Usually on a Friday or Saturday night my friends end up at my house for a rip roaring game of Mario Party on the roomie's game cube. So, just to be SPONTANEOUS we decided to drive to my brother's house for a rip roaring game of all things Wii. How is that for different than normal? By the way, I am in love with Wii and WANT ONE SO BAD!! You know, my birthday is coming up... {hint, hint} It was loads of fun and I am so glad that my bro was nice enough to let us come over and stay there until midnight.

So that was my weekend. How was yours?

Day 1?

Just between you and me, this picture has nothing to do with my blog entry...I just think it's funny :)
Well...here's the latest: My whole 21 day challenge has been more of a challenge than I thought...

The last 3 days have been my day #1. I wake up every morning with the best of intentions, and fail miserably by the end of the day.

What is wrong with me??

{Can you all hold me more accountable please?}

just a side note

So, a couple of you asked me about the elephant riding picture. Yes, it's true...I rode an elephant! A couple of weeks ago my friends and I went to the Renaissance Festival in town. The first thing I noticed on the map of the festival was an elephant ride. I was determined to do it! My roommate thought I was crazy and told me that I would smell like elephant all day...but that didn't stop me. My parents rode an elephant when they were in Thailand picking up my bro from his mission, and I was jealous then. So I could not let the opportunity pass me by. Before the day of fun at the Renaissance festival was over, I convinced my friend Janalee to take the ride with me.

Besides, who can say they've ever ridden an elephant before??

21 DAYS...yo

I think I figured out a way to find my motivation!! Here in the newfound happiness of the blogging world, I let everyone in on the {monotonous} details of my life. So, with that in mind, I am thinking that by sharing my goals and struggles, it will help me stay focused and make me accountable.

Ok, so here's my solution:

So I am sure you've heard it said that it takes 21 days to make a habit? Well, I am thinking that's the key...

For 21 days I am going to be GOOD!! That means "goodbye cookies...hello Dr. Fountis!" I have done it religiously for 120 days, why not 21 more?? With my blogger friends as my witness, I WILL SUCCEED!!!

So who's with me??

Oh, and just in case this post doesn't motivate you, maybe this picture will:

Yep, that's me...before I met Dr. Fountis

{happy 21 days}

I am an elephant

Yes...it's true. I am actually riding an elephant in this picture. Why do I include this picture you ask? Well, lately (and more importantly today)

I FEEL LIKE AN ELEPHANT!!!

Can someone please explain to me why it is so hard to lose weight? Can someone please tell me why it is so hard to diet??? I am struggling!!!
I know I need to look at my accomplishments to see how far I have come, but then I see how far I have left to go and it's really quite {depressing}. Anyone have any ideas on how to get (and stay) motivated?? Do share!
Ok, I promise my blogs will be more upbeat from now on. In fact, I am looking forward to this blogging thing. It's a great opportunity to reflect on life and an inspiration to take more pictures!
{happy monday}

Welcome to my blog!!

Here goes nothing...

I can't promise consistency, or even humor...just a little bit of me when I find the time to write (or a computer with internet access). I hope you enjoy it!

So, if you have stumbled across this "looks like someone spilled a bottle of Pepto Bismol" blog, leave me a comment to say hello.

Here's to hoping I don't get fired for being on the internet too much at work...
